Neal,

Overnight, watched Let Your Profits Run, and re-watched Breakout Trading. Applied what I learned
today on gbpusd. INCREDIBLE. THANK YOU !!

I will probably order another video today.

Steve.

Thanks Steve, it's great to hear that you enjoy my material. Next you'll be sailing for 2 or 3 months a year, abandon the daily commute, have more time for your family?

Best wishes,
-Neal.

Where will the recent free-fall end? The markets are approaching a key support level, so intraday traders may find some long opportunities. See todays market update for specific details:

Great question!

Low-volume data is not reliable for technical studies. They can throw off the studies, increasing inaccuracy. So day sessions are best.

Both the Euro and the S&P have made significant turns to the downside. This is not the time to panic, hunt for profit opportunities! See todays market update for specific details:

The Canadian chart is setting up for a great short! There is a possibility that the chart wants to rally higher though. See todays market update for specific details and entry points:

>Dear Neal

>Thank you very much for your excellent course videos I truelly find them easy to understand and containing invaluable knowledge for any trader. I just completed watching the "Trading with the trend" videos for the third time and would appreciate if you could provide more info pertaining to the TRSI formula. Furthermore which FOREX trading timeframes would you propose for someone that cannot trade on a fulltime basis?

Otto,

Thanks for your comments.

What is your charting platform? I may have the TRSI for your software.

If you can't watch the charts constantly, try the following time-frames 30-min, 60-min, 4 hour, and daily. The higher of those are probably better then the lower ones.

In addition, there is a free FOREX chat planned for this saturday, read about it in the next blog entry just below.

Posted by FibMaster @ 12:24 PM PST [Link]

(FREE) - FibMaster's FOREX chat room, Saturday July 14th, 10:00AM PT (1:00PM ET).

This chat session is limited to 10 attendees. Register right away, only the first 10 traders will have access.

Join us for an hour of informal discussion on the major FOREX pairs. We'll study the key Fibonacci support/resistance levels to prepare you for a week of great trading. Neal (FibMaster) will bring some charts and potential trade setups. You bring some questions for him to answer. Neal will try to answer as many questions about Fibonacci trading as he can in an hour.

Note: For full benefit, it is recommended that you study FibMaster's on-line video seminars before the chat session. This will make the chat session far more meaningful and beneficial to you. At a minimum, you should study the Introduction and Advanced Fibonacci seminars here: http://www.fibmarkets.com/videoseminar/

How to register for the chat session? Send an email to neal AT fibmarkets DOT com
and put the following in the subject “Please register me”. If you're one of the first 10, you will receive instructions on how to participate.

Bert,

Exactly! You reverse the procedure for down-trends... Most of my examples may be for up-trends, but down-trends are equally rewarding..

If you like my two introductory video seminars, you'll *LOVE* my three other video seminars.

The NAZ and Russel look stronger than the Dow and S&P. The latter two need to exceed yesterday's high and the high of June 20th before they get into *very* bullish territory. See todays market update for details:

Hello Mark,

Yes many stock traders don't use 4-hour charts much, since most are not trading with 24-hour information. Actually the 60 minute chart had the best example of an entry trigger.

I use 4 hour charts on all instruments, but definitely more on FOREX charts.

Google has hit our profit target and triggered an exit for intra-day traders. A partial exit is appropriate at this time, and a full exit would be determined if a pullback initiates. The next step is to wait for a pull-back for re-entry, or to trade a different chart. For longer time-frames, the daily chart has not yet triggered an exit. See prior GOOG updates below for the ProfitPoint (target) and how the trade developed.

See the attached 60-minute chart. The TRSI cross up near the 40 level while price is supporting at the blue Fibonacci level was the trigger. The exit is the recent cross down of TRSI (Gray cross over blue lines).
Click here to see Google chart in new window.

This is the last update on GOOG. FOREX and E-Mini traders would like an update too..

After a difficult start, the Google chart is on the way towards my predicted ProfitPoint. Theres is never a guarantee, but it looks like it will reach that area. There is a prior swing high at $535.00 that may have some influence.

This chart tested the support area (blue line on the chart) twice before taking off. I had email from traders saying the chart would tank with the rest of the market. Just when the masses capitulate, the fib level holds, that how it works. Just trade the fibs, wait for the capitulation. The $520 support proved to be stronger than the bears.

Click to see Google 4-hour chart.

You can view my prior updates below to follow the trade from the start.

I'm anchored in Port Townsend, today we sail for the San Juan Islands for a great fireworks show (USA independence day).
