Both Cable (GBP) and Euro are looking great for long trades intra-day, provided they maintain above the current trendline. See this update for the trend-lines, and future support/resistance levels.:

How do you get the TRSI indicator?
First, you should confirm that you have charting software that will display the TRSI indicator. The list of supported software is listed below. Next, you will want to know how to use the TRSI. You can learn this in my video seminar Trading with the Trend. The TRSI is only available to traders who have bought that seminar from me. Send me an email to request the TRSI if you have that seminar.
What is the TRSI?
The TRSI is a proprietary indicator developed by Neal FibMaster Hughes, as a tool to help define trend, as well as provide entry and exit triggers. This indicator is proprietary, only released to certain FibMaster clients. Since it is to our advantage to protect our edge in the markets, this indicator is provided on the basis that it will be kept confidential and not be distributed without approval.
How can you learn to use the TRSI?
The techniques used to apply the TRSI were developed over years of trading the markets, using the MACD and Stochastic. Since most traders do not have the TRSI, I have a video seminar (called Trading the Trend), which teaches these techniques using the MACD and Stochastic. The TRSI is described/mentioned at the end of that seminar, in the text portion. The TRSI is obviously superior to the MACD/Stochastic, so if you have the following charting systems, you should use the TRSI instead. Details about the Trading the Trend seminar are here;
http://www.fibmarkets.com/videoseminar/
I do have live teleconference seminars to teach traders the correct way to use the TRSI, watch the following web page for details;
http://www.fibmarkets.com/pro_seminars/index.html
What software is required to display the TRSI?
The TRSI is currently programmed for the following charting systems;
Ensign, TradeStation, Genesis, AmiBroker, VTtrader, Esignal, Metastock.
I am asked quite frequently, so it is worth saying here that I do not have a TRSI formula for the MT4 (MetaTrader) charting system. If you have MT4 (MetaTrader), or any other unsupported charting system, you should use the MACD/Stochastic combination instead (see above).
Oh, one last thing..
This is not an indicator suitable for automated trading systems. For that matter, are there any indicators suitable for automated trading systems?? LOL!

Today's interest rate announcements had a dramatic effect on the key indices.. I recorded this update overnight so that you will have a framework for trading tomorrow morning. In summary, as long as we don't take out the prior swing lows on intraday (60-minute) charts, our plan is to buy dips and take profit on rallies (intraday). See todays market update for specific support/resistance levels:

Thanks Ty, that's great. Those Fibonacci SK support levels are amazing yes?

Cable has reached an intraday support level, and could set up for another great short. The Euro and Yen are also setting up for good trading. See todays market update for specific details:

I've always used two - four moving averages on my charts to get a grip on the trend (I have multiple screens - four). Keeping in mind that I'm primarily an intra-day trader, I couldn't help but notice that the TRSI has made my EMAs obsolete. In fact, now that I'm using Fib retracements, the EMAs only seem to clutter up the chart. Besides the TRSI appears to turn sooner than the EMAs. Am I reading things right? ty
Ty,
Yes, you're on the right track. The TRSI will take up less real-estate, and generally give more reliable triggers and also trend.

The S&P does not have a strong trend at this time. There are intraday profit opportunities, but be careful. A market with a weak trend can be a painful one. See todays market update for specific support/resistance levels:

There are free power-point viewers. You can download "Open Office", it will play powerpoint.
The moving average was probably the 3-period simple, displaced by 3 days.
See here about the Stochastic:

After a great summer of sailing and adventure, it's a culture shock to be back in cities, wow. Commercials, and the smell of pollution.. Oh we're here for FOREX charts... In today's update I do a scan of the major USD pairs, looking at price action and the TRSI indicator to get a sense of the current market direction.
